Made some progress on the book I was working on, getting everything written so far into one large document. The downloads page has pdf/epub versions of the work, though I also posted the entire contents to Nostr under NIP-23 to see how that would work.
Posting on #Nostr seems to have mostly worked, although I noticed a few places where NIP-23 fell a little short. Since it's built on markdown things like images inline with text or being a specific % of screen size isn't possible. I had a few hyperlinks that led to images, and some clients show the link text + a clickable link, where some other clients just disgard the text and embed the image. Anchor links seem to not work in any client I've tried them in, although I'm not sure if that's the clients' falts or the NIP's falt. Also, it appears that anchor links (which include a hashtag as part of their markdown formatting) also are added to the post's tags. (lol, a bit of an oversight it appears)
Reading on a web client seems pretty serviceable though. You might need to Ctrl + F to jump from chapter to chapter since markdown anchor links appear to be broken, and images might be displayed slightly unpredictably, but it seems to work. Reading on an app, though, would probably be nigh infuriating without markdown anchor links.
Anyway, if you're interested in checking the project out the Nostr version or web/downloadable version might be worth checking out. It's free, so not much of an investment cost.
